Announcing New 2024 Certificate Programs: Spiritual Director & Interfaith Community Chaplain Certificates

TNS is always looking for ways to expand our offerings to meet the needs of the greater community. Professionals who are trained from an interfaith approach bring a level of flexibility that is lacking in some of the more structured training programs. Our classes meet online and require a weekly commitment with ongoing peer group support and supervision. Please contact us today for more information.

The New Seminary Participates at Parliament of the World's Religions

In 1893, the Parliament of the World’s Religions became the world’s premier interfaith convening of civic, spiritual, and grassroots changemakers in Chicago, IL. Global leaders such as His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, UN Messenger of Peace Jane Goodall, Nobel Peace Laureates Desmond Tutu and Shirin Ebadi, and President Jimmy Carter have addressed the Parliament Convenings throughout their history.  In 2023, TNS participated in POWR with a featured panel of pioneering thought leaders including TNS’ Exec. Dir. The Very Reverend Dr. Jay Speights, Dr. Andrew Vidich, Sheikha Maryam Kabeer, Sister Dr. Jenna, and Jasbir Bhatia Singh along with an illuminating service offered by The Interfaith Temple Team Rev. Drs. Stacy Lee GoForth and Samora Smith (TNS’ Assoc. Dir.)
