What Our Students Say
The New Seminary provided me the opportunity to improve my communication with people of a variety of spiritual backgrounds. This has strengthened my ability to discern and honor the spark of Love and Wisdom in each life journey, through appropriate and caring end-of-life ceremonies.
Rev. Diane Gansauer
I am Rev. Dr. Mike Keating. Since meeting Rev. Dr. Jay Speights who encouraged me to pursue a Doctorate of Ministry with The New Seminary, I fulfilled a life long dream, which led to an opportunity to serve as a Campus Minister at Becker College where I also teach Philosophy. The people that I met at The New Seminary have greatly added to my life and the opportunity and experience is wonderful.
Rev. Dr. Mike Keating

In 2021, TNS launched our new Spiritual Coaching program. We offer a two-year Master Level training and certification. This program offers advanced training to ministers, counselors, and non-clergy. Classes are held throughout the academic year.
The New Seminary was founded in 1981 by Rabbi Joseph H. Gelberman, Swami Satchidanada, and other interfaith luminaries.
Since our inception, we have ordained close to 3,000 interfaith ministers from all over the United States and world. You will find our graduates working as chaplains, ministering to congregations of all faith traditions, teaching and simply effecting change and working to transform our society to a global community of tolerance. They are making a difference. Read More
