Coach Mara Leigh Taylor

Coach Mara Leigh Taylor entered The New Seminary to enhance her existing services to men, women and children in prisons and jails in the United States of America.  As the founder and executive director of Getting Out By Going In (GOGI), Coach Taylor felt the need to address the spiritual needs of the 2.3 million individuals housed in settings of incarceration.

“The New Seminary trained me in the unique ways that various cultures and people strengthen their spiritual journey.  With that knowledge came compassion for the human experience in its myriad of forms.  My work with prisoners became the mission of my lifetime realized, in great part, by my ordination as an interfaith minister,”  said Coach Taylor.
